Pentecost Weekend: A New Sound Being Released

As we prepare to celebrate Pentecost this Sunday, we must return back to the initial impartation of the Holy Spirit that took place in the Upper Room thousands of years ago. But the Holy Spirit is just as alive today as it was when Peter preached that powerful sermon in Acts 2! 

The Let Us Worship movement is a multi-dimensional, multi-faceted ministry. We aim to point the lost to the saving grace of Jesus and strengthen Believers young and old to walk more closely with Christ. We praise and preach because we have SEEN the power of God move in people’s lives in ways the world couldn’t comprehend.

That starts with worship and lifting up a JOYFUL NOISE (Psalm 98:4) to the Lord. Worship is in our DNA, and we have seen tens of thousands come to salvation after experiencing the presence of God in worship. Just like there was a new sound released at Pentecost, there's a new sound being released on the earth today. It is a sound of boldness and courage from one of the most chaotic and distracted places on earth -- Times Square! I Can Hear Those Liberty Bells (Live from New York City) was recorded LIVE in Times Square, and we FELT the presence of God amid the chaos!

It was a perfect picture of what God is calling the church to do in 2024 during all the nonstop chaos, confusion, and distractions coming our way - FOCUS ON WORSHIPING, PRAISING, and LIFTING UP JESUS through it all!

But we are not just some band on tour trying to get our songs out there. This is not a CCM worship schedule confined to the safe suburbs and the states and cities that will welcome worshiping Christians. This is a SOUND of salvation, hope, and freedom for the world. We’ve witnessed addictions broken, relationships restored, prodigals returned, and sicknesses healed. We know there is NOTHING our God can’t do, and we praise and pray expectantly in that knowledge. So when we hear a city, people, or region that many feel is lost or too far gone, we see through the lie! 

That’s why we have such a heart for Gen Z. I believe God is raising up a new generation of evangelists and disciple-makers out of Gen Z, who will do things for the Gospel we can’t even comprehend.  In cities across this nation, we’ve witnessed thousands of Gen Z believers on absolute fire for God. Instead of taking tactics of the media and disparaging our young people, we pour into them and encourage them, speak life over them, and impart a calling over their lives.

We just released a new children’s book to fight back against the onslaught of wickedness being thrown at children, by teaching kids about saying YES to Jesus, and the amazing journey that follows. The book, titled, The Kingdom to the Capitol Adventures of Glory Bus is an adventurous, patriotic, and Biblical story about going on a great Jesus journey. My own kids love it, and I hope that instead of running to the TV or a device, kids will want Glory Bus read to them just one more time!

This is all a part of PENTECOST - experiencing a multigenerational move of God exactly as Peter described when he quotes the prophet Joel:

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” —Acts 2:17 

God wants to set hearts on fire today! Families on fire, Gen Z on fire, and children on fire! We pray as you listen to the sound of thousands worshiping in Times Square NYC, and read the pages of this Holy Spirit journey to your kids, that you will be caught up in this new MOVE and new SOUND today!
