Fight or Fold?
Is the Republican Party missing an opportunity? Are we ignoring President Trump's battle cry to fight, and instead pandering to RNC party bosses' obsession with Unity?
America is teetering. We're on the edge of a cliff on so many fronts. Economically, Americans are hurting. It's hard to afford groceries, hard to afford a home, hard to afford a life. Fewer and fewer people are waking up to the American dream.
The multi-front attack against President Trump came to a head on Saturday night in Butler, Pennsylvania, when an assassin's bullet missed it's mark by millimeters. As Trump rose to his feet, blood running down his face, he raised a fist in defiance and shouted... unity? No--FIGHT!
Trump's courage is contagious. It filled Trump's millions of supporters across the country with hope, and his opponents in the media with petty jealousy. Why then is the RNC Convention not focusing on fighting for conservative values?
I refuse to get behind a Christless conservativism. The moral majority laid the foundation for the Republican Party and launched conservatives into the White House and Congress. Changing the Republican Party to look more like the Democrat policies we've long criticized is a recipe for disaster.
There are more than 210 million self-identified Christians in this country, more than enough voters to deliver the White House to any candidate who chooses to fight for their interests. The Republican Party of today looks like the Democratic Party of 2008. Just because the Democratic Party shifted hard to the left, doesn't mean Republicans should water down our values and head into the middle to try to find support.
This week, the RNC will cave on deeply held conservative values by adding more support for gay marriage and abortion to the official platform. I'm all in favor of being the big-tent party--all areas are welcome to vote for conservative candidates on the ballot. But we shouldn't be compromising our values in the name of welcoming new potential voters.
In January, we put out the call for 100,000 prayer intercessors to pray for America in 2024, and after this past weekend, it's clear that prayers have been answered and the Lord's hand was protecting President Trump.
We do need to fight. We must fight for a future where we champion our conservative values, not compromise them. It may not be popular among Washington elites and party bosses, but it's critical to the future of our movement and the future of our country.
Sean… I have seen all of the young people at your events and say that there is hope for this country with what God is doing. I share your events with everyone I can. if you watch the convention you will see God’s hand everywhere. God stepped in at rally in PA. Trump now speaks of God. I believe God is working to save our country. Watch the convention… there are also those the speak false about the Republican values and Trump has separated himself from Project 2025 where you may be getting your information. There is a massive change in what is happening in our country. God is definitely there and you can see and feel it every where. Our hope is with our younger generation and we need their votes. Satan is fighting… but God is winning. Debbi C
Why not fight for a future where we champion what JESUS values? Justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23) and then there's humility, care for the poor and marginalised... Sadly, none of these I see exemplified in your idol Trump.
